Browser privacy signals
This website currently uses no advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. Because MealFact does not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, Global Privacy Control and “Do Not Track” signals do not require a different sale or sharing status.
Manage choices in the app
Open Settings → Privacy and consent. From there you can:
- export a readable copy of your MealFact data;
- delete local data and, if signed in, request deletion of synchronized account data;
- withdraw or restore consent for requested health features;
- disable optional product analytics independently;
- manage or withdraw the separate choice to contribute future eligible meal photos and confirmed corrections.
Withdrawing health consent blocks new cloud analysis and synchronization and deletes server health records, while the local journal remains until you choose Delete all my data. Withdrawing optional analytics also deletes existing related server events.
The contribution program is closed in V1; its controls become effective only if a later version opens the program. Private-group sharing is off by default and can be disabled separately.
Device health connections
Disconnect Apple Health or Health Connect in MealFact and revoke the matching system permissions. Camera and microphone permissions can also be changed in iOS or Android settings. Imported health data is local only and is purged when you disconnect, withdraw consent, or delete local data.
US state privacy choices
Residents of California and other applicable US states may request access, correction, deletion, portability, information about categories and recipients, or an appeal. Where applicable, you may also opt out of sale, sharing for behavioral advertising, or certain profiling and limit specific uses of sensitive personal information.
MealFact currently does not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising and does not use sensitive information to infer characteristics outside providing the service.
European and UK rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
